A Pittsburgh Penguins executive said Tuesday that the team is expected to sign goaltender Mike McKenna to a one-year contract.

Sources told ESPN that the Penguins are expected to announce a deal on Wednesday.

They’re also expected to give a statement on Thursday about the deal.

McKenna, 25, has appeared in 16 NHL games this season.

He has three goals and three assists for four points.
